Halma has completed the sale of Texecom in a management buyout supported by LDC, a UK based mid-market private equity investor. Sensitron’s devices, which include detectors for hazardous locations and for new refrigerant gases, enhance safety by detecting the release of gases harmful to people and the environment. Halma has also acquired Sensitron S.r.l., a gas detection company based in Milan, Italy. This is used to maintain and extend the life of wastewater networks, reducing blockages and leakage and ultimately reducing environmental contamination. Halma’s pipeline inspection systems business, Mini-Cam, has acquired Dancutter A/S, a Danish designer and manufacturer of trenchless pipeline rehabilitation equipment. In the Environmental & Analysis sector, Halma has made two acquisitions. It adds to Halma’s existing portfolio of companies in the fire detection market that help to save lives and protect assets. The company is headquartered in Nottingham, UK, and supplies wireless fire systems for temporary sites, primarily in the construction markets. In the Safety sector, Halma has acquired Ramtech. The acquisitions span two of these three sectors. Halma operates in three sectors: Safety, Environmental & Analysis and Medical. The FTSE 100 company has also announced a disposal, as part its strategy of actively managing its portfolio of global businesses.
